The macedonian phalanx would probably wipe the floor with the feudal footmen composed of men at arms and levies in close combat but i have a hard time seeing the phalanx even being able of geting into combat with the feudal infantry before being utterly obliderated by the longbow and crossbow fire. Alexander would probably be smarter the opposing medieval commander but even then i can't see him winning. I can't see any situation were the macedonians even led by Alexander the great being able to stand a chance. The armies would beĢ0 000 strong and both armies would have about a fourth in cavalry.

The macedonian army would be commanded by alexander ofcourse. Also this is a pitched battle no ambushes or terrain advantages. Incase wondering the medieval army in my mind would be 14th century with knights having acces to full plate armour but no early gunpowder. How would an macedonian army fare against and medieval army and how would an (imperial) roman army do against a medieval army. I was wondering about this for myself and wanted to ask you guys.
